Luckily, the answer to that is, “no.” According to KTVB, the City of Middleton was considering selling Davis Park to a business adjacent to the park so it can be transformed into a park. However, after word of the potential sale got to the Henderson family, the sale took a turn.

Back in 1991, the Henderson family donated the park to the city as a memorial to their late father. According to KTVB, Middleton Mayor Darin Taylor said the history behind the park was unknown when they considered selling the park. After hearing from Kaye Henderson, however, the City reconsidered their choice and made the announcement Wednesday night to “not go through with the sale.”
