5 New Dairy Queen Treats To Celebrate Summer

You may still be in a sugar coma from all of the Easter Candy but with summer right around the corner it is about time for some cold summertime sweet treats. Dairy Queen is a summer time staple in the Treasure Valley. At least for me and my family. There are ten Dairy Queen locations in the Treasure Valley / Boise Metro area and they all just got some new tasty treats for the upcoming hot summer.

I live in Meridian with my family and we often hit up the downtown Meridian location drive through. It is right next to the Meridian Speedway and sometimes has a line of cars wrapped around the back and side and spilling into the front of the parking lot. It gets busy, but I get it, on a 100 degree day there is nothing quite like a, cherry dilly bar, that is one of my personal favorites ;). With these new additions and brining back some classic favorites, I will be trying out some new flavors this year for sure. Another thing that is new this year is customers can ask for a vegan, gluten-free Dilly Bar. The following five cold treats were officially added to Dairy Queen locations less than a week ago.

Returning: Dreamsicle-Dipped Cone - this deliciously simple combo first came out in 2019 and was a fast fan favorite. It was created to be limited time and ran out quickly. Smart DQ is bringing it back. Expect traditional vanilla soft-serve ice cream cone, with the upper portion coated in a vanilla-and-orange-flavored candy dip.

New: Choco Hazelnut Chip Shake - If you like Nutella, you will love this chip shake. It is a milkshake that blends a rich, chocolate-hazelnut spread with chocolate chip confetti and milk. Then it is topped with whipped cream - as it should be.

New: Mint Chip Shake - DQ is getting majorly into the chip shake game. Another one is sure to be a hit. Dairy Queen's signature chocolate chip confetti gets blended with milk and crème de menthe. Also topped with whipped cream.

New: Raspberry Chip Shake - I am excited for this one, I have always loved raspberry and chocolate combo anything. This one blends fresh raspberries with the chocolate chip confetti and milk. Then as always, it is topped with whipped cream.

New: Tropical Lemonade Twisty Misty Slush - Yummy! When creamy doesn't hit the spot turn to this new tropical slush this summer. Layers of icy mango, lemon-lime, and lemonade make this the perfect hot day cool down treat.
