The holiday season can be full of surprises - both good and bad!

On one hand, the holidays can bring surprise reunions, gifts, and even announcements. How many times have we heard about someone getting engaged or announcing they're having a baby during the holidays?

While those are good surprises, on the other side of the coin, we might encounter "bad" surprises like falling victim to a scam, not getting the holiday bonus, or heaven forbid, a gruesome injury... or death.

The holidays can bring out the best and worst

A majority of us don't go into the holiday season expecting a serious injury or worse, but it can happen. Imagine how many people wind up in the hospital because of their inability to operate a turkey cutter... or how many people might harm themselves after saying the famous last words: "Hold my beer."

And it's not just the adults either!

If you've had or been to a holiday gathering, you understand how easy it is to lose track of the kiddos, especially when others bring their little ones along.
