Legendary Actor & Comedian Has Privilege of Meeting Idaho Heroes
We see it all the time - people going crazy over their favorite celebrities. Some might mock the tradition while others, like this author, totally understand the fascination someone might experience when meeting a favorite celebrity.
This story, however, is the other way around...
Saluting our frontline heroes
Legendary comedian and actor Adam Sandler was in town for a show this past weekend at the Ford Idaho Center. The people of the Treasure Valley had an opportunity that most people don't get in their lives - the chance to see a legend from the silver screen, up close and personal in person in Idaho.
What they didn't see was this particular star's protection and the appreciation he showed for them.
Nampa Police Department shared a Facebook post highlighting Sandler's love for our first responders and you can't help but smile when you see it.
"Look what just dropped into our ‘in-box’," wrote Nampa Police Department.
"We are thrilled that the Ford Idaho Center is in our community and we are #NampaProud that we get to provide an important service to everyone who comes here to enjoy the entertainment offered. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it."
It's clear that Sandler has an appreciation and respect for those putting their necks on the line to keep the rest of us safe. It's just another reason to love an already endearing star that is as down-to-earth as they come.
Kudos to the Nampa Police Department for always doing what they can to keep the community safe but also, for making special guests like Adam Sandler feel welcome and safe in Idaho.
We know Adam is glad he got to meet Idaho's finest.
