
Experts Warn Of Big Asteroid Heading For Earth, What If It Strikes Boise?
There has been quite a bit happening in the news as of late so if you missed word that an asteroid heading for Earth, we won't hold it against you.
The Probability Of This Asteroid Hitting Earth Is Rising
According to NASA, 2024 YR4 is a "near-Earth asteroid" and is estimated to be 130-300 feet wide. Experts believe there is a small chance the asteroid could strike Earth on December 22, 2032.

While the chance of impact was previously around 1%, that probability has climbed to an average of 2% probability. Thankfully, many experts believe the size of the asteroid heading for Earth wouldn't be considered a "planet-killer" but with a size of nearly 300 feet... that could still do some serious damage.

According to NASA, "the impact would occur somewhere along a risk corridor which extends across the eastern Pacific Ocean, northern South America, the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, the Arabian Sea, and South Asia."
