Boise Loses Out On Getting F-35’s at Gowen

Boise was supposed to be home for at least 20 new F-35 Jets but now it will never happen.

According to KTVB the 187th Fighter Wing in Montgomery, Alabama has been named the new home for the F-35 mission.  Mayor Bieter had this to say...

"We wanted to get this round of F-35s, and we're disappointed that we didn't but there was really nothing more - and it's even more clear in this decision - that there wasn't anything that we could have done."

Gowen Field will continue with their A-10 mission which currently employs over 1,300 Idaho Air National Guard personnel.
