Chess Themed Cafe Set to Open at Boise Towne Square Mall

Checkmate! This looks pretty cool. If you've got a chess player at your house you'll have to check out this new chess-themed cafe getting ready to open in the Boise Towne Square Mall. 

Chess Cafe will be located right by Old Chicago near the main entrance. A small 700-square-for space coffee shop with chess tables set up so you can enjoy a match or two while you sip your latte.

The game of chess for me has always had a special place in my heart. I learned when I was fifteen years old and I was trying to impress a boy who loved to play the game.

I picked it up again as I tried to connect with my young son. I'm not good at it, but I have so many great memories of the game and even today when there is nothing to do we'll pull out the old chess board and play a game or two.

No word yet on when the Chess Cafe is set to open, but according to Boisedev.com the cafe is near completion so it should be too long of a wait.
