If you're a Nampa citizen like I am or just commute on I-84 through the Karcher Road Overpass you're going to love to hear that construction in that area is ahead of schedule. In fact the Idaho Transportation Department is actually looking at opening it up for traffic later this month.

The details were first sent out by the IDT then relayed by the Idaho Press, about the construction project that began back in March and was scheduled to last nine months. Although to everyone who travels in that area the early completion is very welcomed news.

While the exact date hasn't been set, I'm not shocked with the early completion because when I am driving to work before 4:00 a.m. there are often crews hard at work to get the job done.

The new Karcher overpass will still only have one lane in each direction but it will include wider shoulder lanes and a larger sidewalk on the north side of the bridge. The overpass will once again connect the Karcher connector with Midland Blvd.
