Charlie Linville of Boise is officially the first wounded combat veteran to climb Mt Everest. He made it down the mountain this morning.  We have the EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW!!

Charlie's wife Mandi Linville says after an avalanche and an earthquake halted her husband's attempts to climb Mount Everest back in 2014 and 2015 they both thought that maybe his desire to summit the world's highest mountain just wasn't meant to be, but Charlie refused to give up.

Thursday, May 19th Charlie reached the peak of Mountain Everest and then slowly made his descent, which can be just as dangerous as the climb. 3 people have died trying to get back down the mountain in the past 3 days.

Mandi told us how Charlie lost his leg overseas after he stepped on a bomb. Doctors tried to save his limb several times but were unsuccessful. After a period of depression, Charlie set his goal to climb Mountain Everest through the support of "The Heroes Project" and we are so proud that he has reached this incredible and inspiring goal!!

Here's our EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Mandi.
