Holiday cheer just seems better when its free and given with gratitude. For the entire month of December, Starbucks is showing its compassion and thankfulness to first responders and people working on the front lines against the pandemic and beyond. At participating Starbuck locations, which is pretty much ALL of them, individuals who identify as a front-line responders will receive a free hot or iced coffee. Starbucks says that since the start of the pandemic, they have provided over 2 million free cups of coffee to front-line responders.

Virginia Tenpenny is the vice president for Global Social Impact for Starbucks and said the company decided to announce the offer because “it has been an extraordinarily difficult year, especially for the front-line responders who are serving our communities.”

The free coffees are for tall brewed coffees, and will be offered at U.S. company-operated locations, as well as "select licensed stores" all month. So who is included in the 'front-line' you ask? Well this free caffeine boost is available for quite a few including  "doctors, nurses, public health workers, pharmacists, dispatchers, firefighters, paramedics, police officers, dentists and dental hygienists, mental health workers (therapist, psychologist, social worker, counselor, etc.), hospital staff such as janitor/housekeeping/security, and active-duty military."

There is nothing that says thank you like a warm hot cup of coffee. Ok, well maybe there is but this is still pretty awesome. There is nothing that I could find that specified any necessary proof to get your free coffee. Although it couldn't hurt to show a badge when you are asking for your freebee.  Thank you for everything you do for all of us all the time, especially this year.
