How Smart Is Idaho Compared To Other States?
There's no doubt that education is important but unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be as much of a priority in the Gem State as it does everywhere else.
Who are the most educated states in the country?
A study from WalletHub analyzed the 50 states in several metrics including "educational attainment, school quality, and achievement gaps between genders and races."
Unfortunately, Idaho doesn't rank at the top but it's not the least educated in the country.
That title belongs to none other than West Virginia followed by Mississippi and Louisiana. When it comes to neighboring states, Nevada came in 8th when it comes to least educated.
As for the title of "most educated state", that goes to Massachusetts followed by Maryland and Connecticut. One of Idaho's neighboring states did make the top ten which makes Idaho's ranking that much more glaring.
