Just like nearly everything else, Black Friday is going to look different this year. A lot of retailers are changing their sales from huge demand to be in the stores on Black Friday and the days after, to gearing people to take advantage of online deals and sales. Here is a breakdown from some of the biggest names in national Black Friday Sales and what their plan is for this year. Thank you to WWD for putting this together...

Best Buy Inc. - No one can pass up the newest and best electronics under the tree and Best Buy is making sure they get a piece of the Holiday shopping pie. They will be offering Black Friday deals all monthlong with changing and additional deals all month. Shoppers can do curbside pickup or same-day delivery. The physical stores will be open on Black Friday but they will limit the number of customers allowed in the stores.

J.C. Penney - These guys started early. They already started some pretty stellar deals a couple of weeks ago to try and spread out the shopping season and give people more time to spread out. They are continuing in store and online sales through the month of November in all categories.

Macy’s Inc. - Macy’s seems to be coinciding with the election and are starting their 'Black Friday' sales tomorrow after the election. A little retail therapy anyone? Like others they will evolve and update the sales through the month of November and items will be available online and in store. Customers can also choose curbside pickup or same day delivery with DoorDash.

REI Inc. REI is continuing its #OptOutside initiative for the sixth year in a row by closing stores, activity centers, distribution centers and headquarters on Black Friday. Instead of having their employees work they encourage them to enjoy time out in nature. Rest Assured like always, they will have deals on the website for the holidays.

Target - Whoop Whoop! I love me some Holiday shopping at Target! They are doing a series of week long sales through November. Deals on everything from electronics, to apparel to beauty, toys, kitchen, etc. Keep a close eye on the website to take advantage. They also are rocking a price match guarantee on any item from Nov 1st thru Dec 24th.

Walmart - Walmart is rolling our what they are calling “Black Friday Deals for Days" - essentially they have three big sales events through the month of November. The first one kicks off tomorrow November 4th and rolls through the 7th. This first sale is focused on Toys, electronics and home items. Then Nov. 11 to 14, deals on other electronics, like televisions, tablets and computers, and on apparel and home items. The last event runs from Nov. 25 to 27 and includes deals on other electronics, toys, apparel and home items.

Just about every retailer will be closed this year on Thanksgiving day. Not a big surprise as people wont be lining up to battle with their Turkey full bellies over the last TV deal.
