You have to hand it to our health care workers. We're in the middle of a pandemic, and they've seen layoffs of nurses at many hospitals. It's hard to believe that healthcare isn't an "essential" business, but it seems no industry is above losing jobs right now.

Even with smaller staffs, hospitals in the state of Idaho are among the top five when it comes to safety. Grand Canyon University and Leapfrog, conduct this study each year. While Idaho is traditionally in the top five, since the pandemic began, Idaho has stepped up it;s game. The average finish in the past four years for the Gem State is 8th.

I was unaware these rankings exist and that hospitals take them seriously. Because of this, if you need to go to the hospital for any reason, Idaho is an excellent place. So are Maine, Virginia, Oregon, and Hawaii. But suppose you are going to be needing medical attention. You don't want to be in the least healthiest states: North Dakota and Alaska.
