Individuals in general is up in hunting, especially with women over the last decade. Hell yea ladies! The report breakdown comes from RMEFThe research comes from the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) in conjunction with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). They do annual studies of individuals 7 years old and older. 2010 data shows 17,221,000 people  went hunting, whereas 2019 shows 18,108,000. The ladies are the big story here though. 2010 showing 2,464,000 women hunters compared to 2019’s 3,924,000 - that’s almost a 60% increase!

This study is a bit different than the 5 yearlong studies that U.S. Fish and Wildlife produces. It actually shows a decrease in hunter population, only covering 16 and older. The last round was in 2016 so the next will be next year in 2021. It will be interesting to see what those numbers look like.

I can only think these numbers will continue to increase as people are finding out ways to be more self-sufficient and socially distant with COVID-19. Hunting covers it all.
