Mother Tries to Kidnap 8-Year-Old in Meridian

Police need your help to find this woman who tried to kidnap her biological child from a church in Meridian yesterday. She is considered armed and dangerous. 

According to an article on idahonews.com, the attempted kidnapping happened at Holy Apostles Church. 27-year-old Eden Hope Rodriguez, who lives in Seguin, Texas tried to physically take the child away from their legal guardian outside the church. The guardian was able to hold on to the child and eventually got away from the biological Mother before seeking shelter inside the church.

Rodriguez took off across the church parking lot and drove away in her 2014 lime green Ford Fiesta with Texas license plate JTL1009.

• 5'3"
• 100 lbs
• light brown hair
• brown eyes

She was last seen wearing a blue or long grey sleeve shirt, white pants, and dark ankle boots.

Police are advising to not approach Rodriguez if they see her because she is known to carry a concealed handgun and has been known to be violent.
