How To Legally Beat Up Someone 4 Hours Away From Boise
Look, we're all human and we all have a breaking point. We're not saying violence should ever be the first response to a situation. As a matter of fact, you should always confront the person you have an issue with in a manner that doesn't provoke a full-blown fistfight.
But - what happens if all else fails and this person continues to be a jerk to you for whatever reason?
Don't worry - you have options
First of all, we're not talking about someone who is trying to stalk you, rob you, or try to murder you. We're talking about that person who is the biggest jerk at the office... or maybe it's that old high school bully you ran into at the grocery store.
If you have any serious issues with a stranger, call the police... but, if your rival/enemy is unavoidable, isn't technically breaking the law and you have to be around them all the time... you have an option that is just four hours away from Boise and follow us here:
Mutual combat.
Not to be confused with the popular video game franchise, Mortal Kombat, "mutual combat" is a law that permits dueling in the state of Washington. According to Washington legislation:
Any person subject to this code who fights or promotes, or is concerned in or connives at fighting a duel, or who, having knowledge of a challenge sent or about to be sent, fails to report the fact promptly to the proper authority, shall be punished as a court martial may direct.
That's right - as long as you have an officer present, you can settle the score with your archrival in Washington. Now, it's important to note that you can't use any lethal weapons, you can't murder the person, and because it's supposed to be "mutual", you both have to agree on having a "duel."
This law has been used before according to WiseVoter.com when "in 2012, a Seattle man was acquitted of assault charges after engaging in a consensual fight with another man outside of a bar."
Should this be a law that's allowed in Idaho? Let us know your thoughts here!
