Tragedy struck yet again, this time in Maryland. Great Mills High School, which sits about 70 miles south of Washington D.C. in St. mary's County was placed on lockdown with two students ( a male and female) confirmed shot and the gunman confirmed dead.

According to msn.com, the lockdown has been lifted and the situation contained after an armed school security guard engaged the gunman, killing the suspect.

Students were transported via bus to a neighboring school where parents could pick up their children.

The shooting comes just four days before a scheduled march called to pass tighter gun control laws.

We'll keep you posted as this story develops. When is this ever going to stop? It makes me think, is it just a matter of time until it happens here? Please keep everyone involved in this in your thoughts and prayers this morning.
