Teenager Dies After Crash By Ridgevue High School

This is absolutely devastating news, KIVI is reporting a 17-year old boy has died after a single vehicle crash near Ridgevue High School. The school is just west of the intersection of Linder and Franklin.

Police are reporting the vehicle left the roadway and over-corrected, which sent the vehicle into the canal. The vehicle was partially submerged and on it's top by the time first responders arrived.

The teenager has been identified as Conner Ferguson from Star. After not coming home for hours his parents reached out to authorities for help. A cell phone ping helped responders locate the vehicle and victim.

The accident remains under investigation. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to not only Connor's family but his friends as they mourn the loss. We will try to keep you posted on any events or community services that take place in honor of Connor's on our website.
