Tornado Touches Down In Idaho

Two tornado warnings were issued for Southeast Idaho over the weekend and a tornado is exactly what happened.  Here's the official warning declared by the National Weather Service...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a tornado Warning for northwestern Caribou County, north central Bannock County and southeastern Bingham County in Southeastern Idaho until 4:30 PM Sunday

Around 4 p.m. a funnel cloud finally grew strong enough, touched down, and became a full-fledged tornado.  This took place east of Bone in Southeast Idaho.  According to The Idaho State Journal, witnesses say the tornado didn't last long and so far no injuries or damage has been reported.

Based on pictures and reports through social media the weather service has concluded that the tornado touched down east of Bone.  They're currently investigating the area to see how big the tornado was and for accurate information telling them how long it was on the ground for.

A week ago there was another tornado that hit Idaho and stayed on the ground for a good 15 minutes.  That tornado touched down in Blackfoot, Idaho.  There was some damage reported with the Blackfoot tornado but no injuries.  Mostly just trees uprooted and there was a greenhouse that ended up smashed.
