An old bowling center has turned into Treasure Valley Skate and they're open for business.

4712 W. State Street was home to 20th Century Bowling Lanes for 50 years, but a whole new life has taken shape inside what is now a 20,000 square foot roller skating rink.

Alon with skating, "Treasure Valley Skate" has arcade games, air hockey, foosball, and a full-service snack bar according to KTVB.

The new company will even offer up lessons for those who don't know how to skate!

One of my favorite pastimes growing up was going to the skating rink, and until now the only option we have had here in the Treasure Valley is the Nampa Rollerdrome.

This will be a nice alternative for those who live in and around Boise and a good option for something fun and kind of retro to do when you want to get out of the heat this summer.
