One of the best things about living in the Treasure Valley is the four weather seasons. It's a big reason why people are flocking from states that don't have that luxury.

That being said we've all heard the saying: "Be careful what you wish for."

That saying couldn't be more true when it comes to Idaho winters.

Winter In Idaho... Love It Or Hate It?

There are still quite a few people who are scarred from the Snowmageddon that hit the Treasure Valley back in 2017. We've had some solid snowfall amounts but nothing like the 15 inches of snow that was measured at the peak of Snowpocalypse 2017.

That should come as good news for those who are new to Idaho and are coming from places that don't see that much snowfall. You could even say that basic and minimal snowfall is a culture shock for the Idaho newbies.

If you're from Texas, for example, the mere sight of snowfall might excite you... until you remember that you have to drive in conditions you've never driven in before.

As silly as that may sound to someone who's local to Idaho, that realization can be stressful to inexperienced winter drivers, especially if their car isn't exactly prepared for those conditions.

We shouldn't see subzero temperatures any time soon (yet), but there's a solid chance we will at some point in the coming months. So, what should an inexperienced newcomer do to prepare for Idaho winter conditions? We got you covered with seven tips that might alleviate some of those concerns.
