Which NFL Team Will Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty Play For?

We're only a few weeks removed from the Super Bowl and for football fans, the next major event is none other than the NFL draft. Fans of Boise State should especially be intrigued with many wondering where Boise State's Ashton Jeanty will wind up.

When Is The 2025 NFL Draft?

This year's NFL Draft is going down at Lambeau Field from April 24th to the 26th. It's a great way for football fans to quench that offseason craving for pigskin.

And for Boise State fans, it's one of the most compelling drafts to watch since 2012's draft which featured Kellen Moore. Unfortunately, Moore went undrafted in 2012 before being immediately signed by the Detroit Lions for whom he played with from 2012 to 2014.

Now, all eyes are on Boise State standout and Heisman runner-up, Ashton Jeanty.

The star running back put up one of the most impressive seasons we've seen with 2,601 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 374 carries for the 2024 season according to ESPN.

Now, as a Dallas Cowboys fan - we would love to see him with America's Team but the latest mock draft is saying otherwise.

Jeanty is projected to be drafted in the top ten of the first round with USA Today's mock draft predicting he'll wind up playing for the Las Vegas Raiders. According to USA Today's mock draft report:

"The Raiders have the financial flexibility to outspend the market on the free-agent quarterback of their choosing – Sam Darnold? – and then pivot their focus to overhauling a rushing attack that ranked a distant last in both total yards (79.8 per game) and yards per carry (3.6)."

It certainly seems like an unusual place for Jeanty to wind up but at the very least, Boise State fans wouldn't have to travel far to see the Bronco legend suit up for the Raiders.
