The City of Boise has some fun ideas for encouraging more people to eat out and support local restaurants. The Boise on the Block initiative is kicking of on Monday in full swing after a successful pilot. The City will close 8th Street in downtown Boise to all vehicle's so they can set it up and accommodate for socially distance outdoor dining experience.

8th street will be closed for dining between Main and Bannock. Businesses will stay open and offer new dining accommodations outdoors in an effort to serve more than inside will allow. This is a lovely date night idea and such a fun way for the city to help local businesses survive during this trying time. Now all we need is a live band out there. :)

The delivery zone currently along this corridor will be moved to Idaho Street between Capitol Blvd. and 9th Street. If you are a downtown business and want more details... click here.
