7 people were aboard a boat at Lake Lowell when it capsized.

High winds yesterday afternoon caused 5 to 6 foot high waves that caused the boat to flip.

Thankfully all seven people aboard the boat are o.k. today thanks to a nearby boat that came to the rescue.

According to KTVB, the boat they were aboard has still not been located and the group was not the only people to find themselves in trouble yesterday. Some rafters and a kayaker were also caught up in the large waves. They also made it to shore safely.

The Canyon County's Sheriff's Office is encouraging anyone near water to wear a life jacket and to check the weather before heading out.
