Boise Police Officer Charged With Felony Rape

Just like most people, I am a huge supporter of law enforcement. The majority of all officers truly care about making a difference in our community in the most positive way possible. Unfortunately, we found out today from KIVI, that one Boise Police officer is now facing a felony rape charge.

Ada County Sheriff Deputies are the ones that made the arrest of Boise Police officer Eric Simunich. The incident took place while the officer was off-duty.

The Boise Police have released information about the arrest today, mostly detailing how the officer has been suspended while the investigation is going on through the Ada County Sheriff's Office. The Boise Police Department has also said they will be doing an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
