If you live in Boise, there’s a very good chance that you love being outdoors.  When the rain starts and the outdoor activities that you love become less enjoyable, you come into my domain: The Great Indoors!  Here are five of the best indoor activities in Boise for a rainy day.

The Basque Museum and Cultural Center

The Basque are from a region between France and Spain and their culture is just as unique.  The Gold Rush brought them to America in the late 1800’s.  On a rainy day, head downtown and see the tremendous impact they’ve had on our community at the Basque Museum.

Check Out A Brewery

Boise is well-known for its craft beer.  A rainy day is the perfect time to spend some time at one, two or twenty-two of them in the Treasure Valley.  The top breweries according to Trip Advisor are Boise Brewing, Payette Brewing and Woodland Empire.

 The Boise Art Museum

There’s something about the clouds and rain that make me want to be more cultured!  No better place for that then the Boise Art Museum.  There’s always something changing at BAM, but there's always great art.  Over 4,000 pieces from Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and the United States including art from right here in Idaho.

Take A Glass Blowing Class

It may not be something you ever do again, but if you do it once, it will be something you never forget.  Boise Art Glass is one of Boise’s unique shops, where you can get art glass or take a class and try glass blowing yourself!

Aquarium of Boise

If you love animals, check out the Aquarium of Boise.  You can touch and feed some of them and where else in Boise can you see a shark?
