An elderly woman lost control of her vehicle driving down Cleveland Boulevard because of snow covered conditions and ended up in Caldwell Creek where her vehicle ended up submerged by water.

According to KTVB the water quickly began rising and eventually stopped at the woman's shoulders.  The woman had been submerged for about 10 minutes when the Caldwell Fire Department arrived who was not only concerned about her drowning but hypothermia was also a possibility.

The fire department made quick work of getting the woman out of the vehicle on to a nearby embankment and then to the hospital where she's been recovering.  The identity of the woman has not been released.
