The Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox and you can catch it tonight!

The Harvest Moon puts off more light than most full moons and rises for several nights.

According to KTVB, you should be able to catch it rising in the East throughout the weekend.

Since the moon is brighter than normal it is sometimes called a Supermoon, which occurs when the moon is closer to the earth than normal, but in referring to the Harvest Moon, the term is controversial.

Either way, look up in the sky tonight and throughout the weekend to see one of the most beautiful moons all year long.
