Idaho Fish & Game Is Looking For A Moose On The Run
Every now and then, we come across a story that perfectly captures life in Idaho. What is life in Idaho? It could be anything from the interesting people of our community to the wildlife causing chaos in our neighborhoods.
Oh yeah, about that last one...
"A Moose Is On The Loose!"
It's not something you get to say very often, but today is one of those days: "A moose is on the loose"... literally.
"This beautiful creature is hanging out in Burley today. It is very scared," the Cassia County Sheriff's Office said of the moose on the loose on their Facebook page.

"Please do not approach whether in your car for photos or by foot as they are unpredictable."
Yeah, I wouldn't approach a scared moose either. According to Ultimate National Parks, moose can reach heights between six and seven feet at the shoulder and weigh up to 1,600 pounds. The males can grow large antlers up to six feet across, and there are some reports of moose reaching running speeds up to 35 miles per hour.
So, What Should You Do If You See A Moose On The Loose?
Avoid it completely and contact the proper authorities, AKA Idaho Fish & Game.
In the case of this particular moose on the run in Burley, Idaho, the Cassia County Sheriff's Office says in their post that Idaho Fish & Game has been contacted.
"We are doing our best to know where the moose is without bothering it. If any concerns arise, please contact our office. 208-878-2251 option 1."
