According to a recent study conducted  by Only in Your State, Idaho is home to one of the top 20 coldest cities in America.  So which one is it?

Idaho Falls placed #16 on the list.  Their average Winter temperature low is 16 degrees.  Brrrrrr!  The lowest temperature ever recorded was -60 degrees back in 1943.

If you go statewide, for year round temperatures, Idaho is #10 on the list just behind Wisconsin and New Hampshire.  Each year Idaho averages 29 inches of snow which is about 4 inches more than the national average.

Something interesting that most don't know is that Idaho summers are considered very cold compared to the rest of the country.  We are #3 in the entire U.S.  The only two states that have colder temperatures than us through the summer months are Alaska and Wyoming.
