This is my first full winter actually living here in the Treasure Valley. I did do quite a bit of visiting my boyfriend Kris last winter before moving here. He is also from Boise and grew up here so I have heard lots of snow stories and saw quite a bit last year when I visited. This year however, not much snow, sure we've had a few snowy white days here and there but they seemed to melt quickly and stay dry and gone. I don't know about you but I am already in spring mode and looking forward to summer but winter may not be done with us yet. Not by a long shot. After all,  Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow on Groundhog Day, so as legend goes, six more weeks of winter it is.

According to Channel 2 meteorologist, Thursday and Friday could bring some serious snow to a lot of Idaho including to the Treasure Valley. It could also cause colder than normal temperatures for this time of year. There is super cold air coming from Montana and Wyoming that is expected to hit Idaho. This coupled with low pressure blowing into the state as well could be the perfect combo to pull that icy air over the Rocky Mountains right to us, which usually doesn't happen. The prefect storm so to speak, you know I love a good pun. There is also a chance that the low pressure coming from the Pacific may not be strong enough so its like we are either going to get an all or nothing situation and we may not know for sure until just before it actually happens.

Do you want a fun big snowy end to the week or are you so over it and ready for summer?
