Shoshone Falls has been particularly spectacular this year with all of the water we've received, but that's all about to come to an end.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the Bureau of Reclamation is cutting off the flow of water past Miller Dam east of Twin Falls to save the water for irrigation.

Right now the flow of water through Miller Dam is at 7,000 cubic feet per second. With the water being cut off, that is projected to drop to 4,000 cubic feet per second on Thursday, 1,000 cubic feet per second on Friday and down to zero by Saturday.

You can still visit the falls past this weekend, but it won't be as spectacular as it has been this season, in fact it probably won't be that fascinating for years to come.
