Two Are Dead After Early Morning Murder Suicide In Caldwell
UPDATE (4:30 PM) Preliminary results have determined that a murder-suicide resulted in the deaths of the two males. The coroner’s office will release the names.
Caldwell, Idaho - At 6:30 a.m., officers in Caldwell responded to a 911 call for a stabbing that occurred on Shelburne street. When the officers arrived they discovered two males on the floor of the home with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. One of them was deceased upon arrival.
The officers attempted life saving measures on one of the victims who was then transported to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise, where he later died from his injuries.
"Caldwell Police detectives are now investigating what appears to be a murder after a domestic disturbance" according to the press release.
It continues to say that "We are in the preliminary stages of our investigation. CPD detectives, Canyon County Sheriff’s Office crime lab personnel, and investigators from the Canyon County Coroner’s Office are currently processing the scene and gathering further details as to what occurred. The circumstances of their deaths are pending until an autopsy can be completed and the evidence is collected and analyzed. Names are being withheld, pending notifications to next of kin."
The Caldwell Police Department wants you to know that this is an isolated incident that there is no threat to the community and that the witnesses are being cooperative.
Rex Ingram the Caldwell Chief of Police Said "This is a very tragic incident and I am saddened by the horrific news this morning. I send my condolences to the family affected by this atrocity and offer any support we can. Our investigators will work around the clock to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding this incident"
