What Makes You a Good Neighbor?

Are you friends with your neighbors? Do you take time to say hi when you see your neighbors outside? To be honest, I have to admit I'm not a good neighbor.

The reason I bring this up is because I was reading an article through Yahoo Finance, about how only 53% of homeowners ages 25 and above are likely to ask their neighbors for a cup of sugar. That number seems low, but I probably wouldn't ask my neighbor for sugar.

While I can admit to being anti-social at home sometimes, I would always give a neighbor sugar if they asked for it and I had it readily available.

The top qualities of a good neighbor include:

• Maintaining a clean yard
• Maintaining a nice looking house (outside)
• Quiet, not to disturb others
• Friendly to pets
• Does things for other neighbors

After reading this article it reminds me to be a better neighbor. While we normally say hi to each other when were both doing yard work, I couldn't tell you my neighbors first name. What do you think it takes to be a good neighbor?
