BEWARE: These 7 Animals Are Destroying Idaho
Let's be real - longtime Idaho residents aren't fans of newcomers coming into the state. Reasons for this include clogging our roads, driving up grocery prices (not eggs, that's the flu), and even political reasons.
Are transplants the real threat or is there something more dangerous?
Not wanting to deal with traffic jams and high grocery prices is understandable. Egg prices are ridiculous and people don't want to sit on I-84 all day long.
But what about threats that pose real danger to Idaho? You know, the living beings coming into our state and attacking our food. How about the creatures coming in and destroying our infrastructure? Where's the outrage?

For example, zebra mussels. The name sounds cool and even "friendly" but that couldn't be further from the truth, especially in Idaho. According to Invasive Species of Idaho, zebra mussels can negatively alter the ecosystem, harming other animals and their habitat. They can also cause some serious financial damage to the community.
What makes this threat even more serious is that we could be inadvertently contributing to this problem that's costing us, the locals, a ton of money without even knowing it.
If you see any of these seven creatures in Idaho, do something about it! The weather is warming up and many of us will be out enjoying the great outdoors. So, if you spot any of these creatures, you can report the sighting to Idaho Invasive Species Hotline at 1-877-336-8676.
