Girl Talk: Revealing the Love Child?

This woman from Meridian has been keeping a deep dark secret for 18 years. Should she spill the beans now?

Dear Rick and Carly, 

I have been keeping a secret for over 18 years. My son turns 18 this weekend. Lately, guilt has been eating me alive because I have never told him or my husband that my son is a love child. (The biological father has no idea that I ever became pregnant.) Part of me desperately wants to tell my son so he can know the full truth about his past. The other part of me wants to keep it a secret. For years I have told myself that what they don't know won't hurt them. If I tell my son and my husband those relationships will most likely never be the same. After all these years is there any point in spilling the beans?
