Idaho Youth Ranch Closing Five Stores

No!!! If you love shopping the thrift store, you are not going to like this. The Idaho Youth Ranch is closing five of their locations.

The stores closing are underperforming and they simply want to put more funding into helping kids.The Idaho Youth Ranch has been helping at risk and struggling teens for the past 65 years.

The following stores will close or have shut their doors already

• Chinden Blvd
• Emmett
• Twin Falls
• Buhl
• Blackfoot

According to KTVB the Idaho Youth Ranch has a goal to double the number of kids they help this year. They say closing the five stores will actually help with this funding.

One thing they are excited about is starting equine therapy or horse therapy with the kids this summer or fall.

Although we are sad to see these thrift stores go, it is nice to see that the ultimate goal is to help more kids. Another positive is that the Idaho Youth Ranch says no one will be fired with the closings. The employees will simply be transferred to other stores.
