After a the most stressful year for anyone and everyone Idaho is ready to bring in some smiles and joy with the Capital Christmas tree. It was just moved to the Statehouse today and is grand, fantastic and everything we need this year. Governor Brad Little and his wife, First Lady Teresa Little want Idahoans to visit the tree and come check out the beautiful Christmas decorations at the Capitol.

In a statement Little said, "COVID-19 has adjusted the way we do things this year. Though we will forego a formal Capitol Christmas tree lighting ceremony, we invite you and your family to spend time together at the Idaho State Capitol viewing the beautiful décor and Christmas tree."

The magnificent tree came from Boise's North End on the Booth Home property and was kindly donated by Doug Cobb. According to KTVB, The Idaho Department of Lands cut the tree and then had to get it all rigged up carefully for lifting by crane. Boise Crane helped the process by getting the grand tree loaded on a trailer. Idaho Transportation Department then slowly, and cautiously hauled the Christmas tree to the Capital . Boise Police even joined in to help escort the tree to its holiday destination. It has since been hoisted up and will start being decorated tomorrow. Thousands of LED lights will be wrapped around the tree and used to decorate the Capitol building starting tomorrow.

Even though we cant be there shoulder to shoulder with crowds and cheers from fellow Idahoans, it is still a sight to see and a great joy to bring to your family. We are making a night of it with my fam. Kris, Titus and I are going to bundle up and be prepped with hot chocolate.
