As we enter the holiday season, many of us will be focused on decorating, Christmas shopping, holiday bonuses at work, and of course, traveling to see family or friends.

There is one thing though that we should also keep in the back of our minds: how safe are we during the holiday season?

Crime can happen anywhere, right?

Are there places out there that are more dangerous than others? Sure! But, let's be honest with ourselves: crime can take place anywhere, even in the most unlikely places.

We've seen it happen before and we've all heard some say at some point: "This never happens in our neighborhood."

Thankfully, Idaho is one of the safer places to live and raise a family. But, just like how crime can happen anywhere, there will always be places that are "less safe" than others. You could live in the safest area where there is never any crime, but there could be another "less safe" area nearby that by any other place's standards, would be considered the safest.

Does that make sense? Are we getting too cross-eyed?

All of that being said, Boise is safe overall but there are places "less safe" than others. Thanks to information from Area Vibes, we're able to share with you the top ten most dangerous neighborhoods in Boise.

Do you live in any of these neighborhoods? Keep an eye out this holiday season and lock your doors!

Is This Unsolved Idaho Crime More Horrific Than Jeffrey Dahmer?

In 1979, 12-year-old Christina Lee White went missing in Asotin, Washington, and hasn’t been seen since. It was this disappearance that marked the beginning of what is known as the “Lewis Clark Valley murders” that plagued parts of Washington and Idaho from 1979 to 1982.
